The War on Democracy

An excellent title chosen by the socialist journalist – John Pilger. This is his very interesting documentary released in 2007. John Pilger provides an interested outlook on the relationship between Latin America and the United States. He examines the life that has existed since 1823 when the Monroe Doctrine was declared. It is the Monroe Doctrine that basically set the framework for the American Empire.

Although I find some parts to be lacking in substance (like his praise of Hugo Chavez), it’s essentially a very accurate look at that relationship.
